Cause and Effect

Cause: Derek's car window needs a regulator and motor.
Effect: I've been without a car for a few days.

Cause: No car for a few days.
Effect: No where to go. More time to blog.

Cause: Three digit temperatures
Effect: Trips to the pool and more playtime inside

Cause: A sneeze
Effect: A new bump on the back of Brody's head (sneezes can really throw off your equillibrium)

Cause: Brody's growing independence. (He prefers feeding himself if mom will let him.)
Effect: Messy hands, face, clothes, table, floor, etc.

Cause:Brody is crawling!! Effect: I'll be doing more babyproofing this week.

Date Night and The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever!

On Friday night Derek took me to the temple for a date. We left the house at about 5:00 pm and were hungry when we got to the temple so we ate first. I love the food at the temple. Mmmm! And best of all, I love the chocolate chip cookies. For $.65 you get a huge cookie. I love to eat half and slip the other half in my bag to eat on the way home. I consider it my "sweet" reward for serving.

The other day I set Brody on a blanket to play while I did some prep for dinner. After chopping for a little bit I thought I should check on Brody. This is what I saw...

We did it!

Derek, Brody, and I finished the March for Babies today! But of course I forgot my camera this morning since we left at 6:30 am. So the only picture we have to prove it is this one of me and Brody sporting our "I did it!" stickers. We had a good time and plan to start our own team next year. TEAM BRODY!
